Cataleya is exclusively breastfed, so that means me being near to nurse her on demand. Now we purposely waited to introduce the bottle till she was about 5 months and honestly if I could avoid it, I would. However, there were times I needed to be away for a couple hours, and thats when we realized the challenge. She wouldn’t take a bottle for the life of us and a part of me felt a tiny bit guilty not introducing the bottle sooner.

Pumping 101 Review
I recently took a Pumping 101 class that Allison held last month. I don’t now about you, but I hate reading manuals??, so if I can take a class, I’m all for it! She holds a few different types of workshops and refresh classes, that you can take a ? on her website Bravo Birth. Jezriel and I have previously taken her childbirth and breastfeeding classes that were beneficial to us.
“Right of Passage”
As most of you know our family has co-slept since Cataleya was just a few hours old. Although she takes up a big portion of our bed, we still continue since it’s so much easier for many reasons. I feel like when she started sitting up thats when she started to move around a lot more. I never thought twice about it, until she rolled off the bed last month?. Yup rolled off and I felt awful the whole week, well I still do I’m pretty scared by it.
V-Day
Happy Valentines Day!!! I hope you enjoy the photos we took of her, even though I totally forgot her accessories >_<. I have to head over to Target and get these printed, too many cute ones to chose from.
Making that Elderberry Syrup
The first batch I made was pretty legit, but surprisedly thought it was a tad bit too sweet. So when I made the 2nd batch that I happened to give to a few friends (sorry guys?) I put an 1/8 less of honey. To me the syrup tasted a bit watered down and the third time I stuck with the recipe. I’ve never been successful in altering a recipe ?.
Honest Bundles
In the past my husband Jezriel and I tried to buy products that had less harsh chemicals in it. Unfortunately, going cold turkey isn’t the way to go and it only lasted a few months. It was so much easier going back to what we’re use to because they were much more easily accessible.
The Perfect Art Piece
A fellow blogger Just Me O’ Maya posted about Pine Cone Painting. After I read her post I immediately thought of art work, that can be made by Cataleya and I can display in her nursery!
Big Hurdles
I recently jumped a hurdle that reminded me of a challenge I still had in my breastfeeding journey. I nurse Cataleya comfortably without a cover and I strongly feel my husband and mom’s group built that confidence for me. However, I just couldn’t take that next leap around close friends and family.
Pit Stops
We headed down to San Diego for a birthday party during the weekend. Unfortunately, I dreaded the drive down all last week ?. Car rides don’t soothe Cataleya, but a little strategic planning helps.
