In all honesty, I thought for sure I wasn’t going to pump this time around. I personally don’t like being hooked up even though its only for like 5 minutes, but it’s also the storing the breastmilk and cleaning the parts.
When I attended a wedding last year I convinced myself that I could nurse easily in a dress I already owned, not sure what I was thinking! I have to note also that Cataleya was a month old and nursed very frequently for a long time. Basically my nursing cover was a life saver that evening.
Before my breastfeeding journey began I couldn’t wrap my head around how to nurse quickly with my wardrobe. I never paid attention how other mom’s did it, well first I didn’t want to be rude to stare to observe.
I recently took a Pumping 101 class that Allison held last month. I don’t now about you, but I hate reading manuals🙋🏼, so if I can take a class, I’m all for it! She holds a few different types of workshops and refresh classes, that you can take a 👀 on her website Bravo Birth. Jezriel and I have previously taken her childbirth and breastfeeding classes that were beneficial to us.
I recently jumped a hurdle that reminded me of a challenge I still had in my breastfeeding journey. I nurse Cataleya comfortably without a cover and I strongly feel my husband and mom’s group built that confidence for me. However, I just couldn’t take that next leap around close friends and family.
Look at that face! This is what I get to wake up to every morning plus my husband 😉.
