Honestly, Matheus’s birth is such a blur. I had a lot of anxiety throughout the pregnancy in fear of another miscarriage and excessively bleeding after laboring. But I just gratefully remember feeling so much at peace when he was on my chest and crying.

As I’m typing this up, I’ve realized how much I’ve forgotten, Jezriel had to help me remember a few parts. I was 38 weeks and 1 day, on Saturday, January 27th, we were planning to head down to my chiropractor in Pasadena, to get an adjustment that morning, so we were up by 6:00 am.
I’m so excited to share with all of you my maternity photo’s that my amazing friend Corinna of Corinna Schutz Photography took! She’s is up here in the Santa Clarita area and has done our family photos and even took Enzo’s newborn photos that I can’t wait to see and share.
I listed a couple of these essentials in my birth center bag post and thought to do a separate post on my postpartum must haves. Oh and pardon me ahead of time if my words are a bit jungled. The newborn wakings (every 2.5 hrs) is starting to take a toll and extra coffee in the day is needed now.
When preparing my birth center bag with Cataleya’s pregnancy I was a bit confused what to bring because I couldn’t find an example list anywhere online. They were all for hospital bags!
When I was pregnant with Cataleya I think I owned maybe two maternity items. I didn’t want to spend the money on them given you only wear them for a few months and I also didn’t like how they looked.
Ever heard of a baby sprinkle? Well, I sure didn’t until a friend told me about it. Honestly with baby number two on the way I debated if I wanted a baby shower this time around. However, we really wanted to celebrate baby boy.
Can you believe these are our first professional family photos we’ve taken? I’m always taking photos of Cataleya. My dad takes photos of Cataleya and I, but I’ve just kept putting our family ones off.
24 weeks!! Gosh, 2nd pregnancies do go by fast when your chasing a toddler around. A few weeks ago I was finally able to manage not getting a B6 injection. However, I still take a Unisom at night to help me go through the day from the nausea.
