She turned one today, and I can’t help but think about her birth. You can watch my Birth Slideshow here that our photographer Lauren Guilford put together. A year ago today she came a week early and a day after mine. Continue reading “Cataleya’s Birth Story”

Cool Mama Nursing Tank
Before my breastfeeding journey began I couldn’t wrap my head around how to nurse quickly with my wardrobe. I never paid attention how other mom’s did it, well first I didn’t want to be rude to stare to observe.
Getting My Wings ☺️
Little did I know I admired the Woven Wings brand so much early on. It was sometime in the summer I spotted a mom with the most beautiful yellow ring sling (I didn’t know it was called that at the time ?). I ??? yellow and almost anything I see it in, I fall head over heels with it.
First Baby Wrap
When building that baby registry I added a Solly Baby for me and an Ergo for my husband. I didn’t know anything about babywearing, but only seen fellow mom’s use a carrier so why not add one ?. I chose a Solly because of the pretty fabric choices and affordability.
Pumping 101 Review
I recently took a Pumping 101 class that Allison held last month. I don’t now about you, but I hate reading manuals??, so if I can take a class, I’m all for it! She holds a few different types of workshops and refresh classes, that you can take a ? on her website Bravo Birth. Jezriel and I have previously taken her childbirth and breastfeeding classes that were beneficial to us.
“Right of Passage”
As most of you know our family has co-slept since Cataleya was just a few hours old. Although she takes up a big portion of our bed, we still continue since it’s so much easier for many reasons. I feel like when she started sitting up thats when she started to move around a lot more. I never thought twice about it, until she rolled off the bed last month?. Yup rolled off and I felt awful the whole week, well I still do I’m pretty scared by it.
Big Hurdles
I recently jumped a hurdle that reminded me of a challenge I still had in my breastfeeding journey. I nurse Cataleya comfortably without a cover and I strongly feel my husband and mom’s group built that confidence for me. However, I just couldn’t take that next leap around close friends and family.
The Best Alarm
Look at that face! This is what I get to wake up to every morning plus my husband ?.
Mom’s Group
I would of never thought in a millions years I would enjoy and look forward to mom group meet ups. I attend a few different ones; the birth center, local parish and Le Leche League, I like a variety ?.
