In the previous post I discussed that I decided to hold off putting oils on Cataleya and instead experiment them on Jezriel and myself first. They can be a little overwhelming when your looking at which brands to use, the individual oils, and lastly the blends.
The first time I ever bought an Essential Oil (EO) was when Cataleya got her first cold at 4 months. I didn’t wanted to give her any over the counter medicine if it were an option. However, I really wanted to just use home remedies☺. I had Jezriel go and buy eucalyptus oil from Whole Foods, so we can put a drop of it into her humidifier.
At that point I knew nothing about the brands, but just the scent and we went with it. Overall, it worked great for her congestion and that’s when I decided to started looking into Essential Oils. Then life got busy and kinda forgot, but I’m back at it! ?
On my Facebook community I got great suggestions. There is a ‘Using Essential Oil Safely‘ group on Facebook that I really like and has been helpful.? As for brand,s I feel it really depends what works for your family. As of now we’ve decided to try different Lavenders, Eucalyptus, mini blends, and experiment from there at a slow pace. This is the start of me dabbling into Essential Oils and I’m excited for you to follow me explore ?
Though my search I came across OilyBabies. Jennifer focuses on doTERRA oils and I’ve recognized these at my birth centers counters. I really feel in love with the hand soap, actually every time I wash my hands, I put my hands up to my nose and inhale deeply. The scent is that amazing! On her website you can even get basic 101 information on oils as well ??.
Jennifer sent us her Tiny Tots Nap Blend! It smells so good and its what you need after a long day. You can actually put this on kids 15 months and older. Cataleya is 9 months and I would just need to dilute a bit more to use on her. However, I’m not there yet, so we instead rolled this guy on Jezriel’s and my feet before a mid day nap or at night. This roller came at the perfect time, because I recently caught a cold, and had trouble sleeping. It’s become a night routine for Jez and I.
I just simply rolled this on the bottom of our feet and the bottom of our big toe before we went to sleep. In addition I do slip on some socks.
OilyBabies also wants to offer my readers a GIVEAWAY. Enter here to win (1) Tiny Tots Nap Blend roller! This giveaway is only open to US residents and will end Saturday, April 9th at 11:59pm PST.
