This is actually my 2nd Father’s Day. I was lucky enough that Cat was already in my arms for the first one.

Life has definitely come to full circle. The days of Rai and I sleeping in, doing what we wanted however and whenever that was best for us is long gone. Life is more “strategic”, planning is so essential. I use to work on my golf skills, basketball skills, sales skills, now, I work on my baby wearing skills and I’m proud of it. Speaking of baby wearing, I got the conventional back pack looking carrier, but I’m really loving these wraps and slings that my wife rocks. Is that weird for me to say?

Watching her grow up has been an absolute treat. It truly goes by fast, one minute you’re swaddling, rocking her to sleep, to her now kicking off the sheets and poking me to wake up from being asleep. From sitting and being so observant, to exploring every inch of our home. I couldn’t wait for you to be mobile and now, wow, did I ask to soon, lol. Baby proofing a home is so humbling. At the end of day I wouldn’t trade it in for any thing else. It can be exhausting but its so fun. Rai and I learn more and more about ourselves everyday, we learn more about Cat, we learn more about this thing called parenting.

Being a great daddy is because I have a great mommy in my corner. I love being a father, and would do anything for my daughter. No need for any celebrations or presents here, my gift is already looking at me, smiling with those new teeth that just came out.
