We have two chihuahua’s ?Luna and ?LT. They have been part of our family since they were puppies and they are now 8 and 9 years old.
We knew we wanted Cataleya to have a relationship with our doggies. However, we struggled giving them the opportunity to be near each other. Since day one they are pretty protective of her especially Luna ?.
Over the years Jezriel has trained our doggies to not go into any carpeted areas. It happens to be that our main living spaces is where our dogs are always at, but unfortunately we think it isn’t suitable to just sit Cataleya down because of the hard surfaces.
She absolutely adores and gets so giggly when the doggies come up to her, when she’s in our lap or in her play pen.
This past weekend we were at my brother-in-laws and girlfriends place. He also has a chihuahua named Nala, what can I say we’re chihuahua lovers ?. Nala fell head over heels with Cataleya, wanted tummy rubs, and even laid with us when we’re taking a nap.
After this, we got to thinking if we should start inviting our doggies into the carpeted areas so they can have a stronger relationship with Cataleya.
*LT was camera shy and couldn’t get a photo.
How do you incorporate your fur animals with your babies? Did you have any reservations?
