With the Sand Fires going on so close to our community and the poor air quality. Our close friends urged us not to wait for the evacuation notice and stay with them. For how much I wanted to stay my gut knew they were right and have faith in the firefighters and sheriff officials that are working so hard.
We literally just packed the bare essentials and headed down to Irvine to stay with them. We joined them celebrating a Luau birthday party this last Saturday.
It was what we needed, they had the birthday completely catered with an amazing bartender that switched up my drinks from alcoholic to the virgin Pina Coladas.
They even had a character drawer there, I think that is what he was called. He did the perfect impression of our little family!
We just ate, drank, and chatted from dusk to dark into the night, it was relaxing. Cataleya comfortably fell asleep in my sling.

We’ve had a few fires in the Bay Area (smaller than the sand fires) and the air quality has been awful. Glad you guys are safe and what a fun party! Love the idea of a character artist at a party. Such a cool idea!
That was my fear was the air quality and so glad we were able to get a way from it.
