A Crawfish Festival Tradition

As you all seen our family went down to San Diego this weekend for a crawfish festival. It has become a yearly tradition, however last year we opted out because it didn’t sit well in my stomach while pregnant.

It also happens to land on a good friend’s birthday of ours, so it’s a great gathering of friends that are family. A lot of people are surprised I get down on crawfish, because I’m a picky eater and huge on presentation. I don’t know, there is something about the flavors that get me.

This was the first year our group finished our 50lbs of cajon seasoned crawfish, you heard me right 50 POUNDS! Even with the sides of corn, potatoes, and unlimited beer. I’m not too much of a beer drinker, but I’ll have a few sips.

One thing different this year is that we brought babies with us this time. Crazy to know we all had babies around the same time. I was concerned how to still enjoy my crawfish, it’s a messy process and you need both hands.

I had wanted to wear Cataleya on my back, but we all know things don’t work out as planned. However, she did knock out in my ring sling and I ate away.

I hope you enjoyed your 3 day weekend with your friends and family!
