Is MommyCon Saved on Your Calendar?

Have you heard of Mommy Con?  If not, a fellow mommy calls it the Comic-Con for natural minded parents, such as baby wearing, breastfeeding, holistic health and tons more! When I had Cataleya that’s when I knew being a mom and parenting is a whole new world. To me it was a learning curve, well, a constant one anyways.

The major thing I’ve learned is that every parent has a different style that fits perfectly with your family. I’m always open to hearing new things and products, but at the end of the day it’s what I feel is best for my family, thats the beauty of it.

I really want to be able to connect with like-minded mommies, but it’s even better to meet a few of you and your little ones in person. For me it feels less intimidating when chatting on Instagram, on the blog, or other social media sites.

Last year was my first time hearing about it, but I didn’t get a chance to go to a local event because I was still trying to get the swing of being a new mom. So I’m ecstatic, I’ve been invited to attend the MommyCon here in Orange Country.

If you don’t already know the Orange County event is on Saturday, August 20th. The schedule hasn’t been released yet, but if your an app person like me. MommyCon has an app for all the events nationwide and you can even take a quick look at the most updated schedule in the palm of your hands.

A few things I’m looking forward is obviously the baby wearing; can’t get enough of it, cloth diapering, because I’m still a newbie, and childproofing because you guys, Cataleya started to fully crawl last week, gosh Jezriel and I were so emotional.

  1. This would be my first time attending mommycon and would be AWESOME! I also would have no idea what to expect!

  2. I’ve been dying to go to mommy con and it’s a weekend I’m actually free this year! Since I’ve never been, I don’t have any specific advice – but because I’m familiar with conventions I would highly recommend wearing your most comfortable shoes! Even if they’re not cute.. Your feet will take a beating from all the walking! 😉

  3. Never been to mommycon but I’ve heard it’s amazing and would love to go!!

  4. We have not attended a mommycon, but I am planning on saving so we can go to the next one in our area! I hear so much great baby things happen at mommycon.

  5. I wish there was something like Mommycon around here, thats such an awesome idea to get to know people at the same stage of life as you. I think we get so caught up in being a mom its nice to have people to share that with.

  6. Oh how fun! Is this only for mamas with babies? I love the natural side of parenting (well, life in general), but my little one is 2.5 yrs and we won’t be having another.
